Dear Donors and Supporters,
Thank you for visiting our website and learning about our initiatives. Currently, you will see us on social media and on the street with signs to protest against Housing Discrimination and Homelessness through two central campaigns: "No Mow May" and "Give us One More Night." Please feel free to donate to gofundme.com/give-us-one-more-night. Your donation will keep us out of the woods and homeless as we seek housing and justice.
#NoMowMay
This campaign raises awareness for the various forms of housing discrimination, which includes the fines and penalties that homeowners and renters face or will receive from municipalities if they are unable to keep their properties maintained due to financial hardship. We will provide landscaping services to individuals and families in need free of cost or for a nominal fee until grant funding can be received.
Donations will go toward partner lawn service providers in the areas in and outside of Sussex County who represent our core values and share our sense of civic responsibility. Based upon your municipality, we encourage supporters and donors to not mow their lawns for two weeks out of the month in May.
#GiveUsOneMoreNight
This campaign raises awareness for individuals and families who are evicted and face homelessness from October 1st to March 31st. These months are known for declining temperatures, which creates life and death situations for people throughout Delaware. As we work toward grants so that we can provide housing and transportation for these individuals, we will seek donations from communities to activate a process that leads toward restored housing and greater stability for Delawareans.

As always, our protests and advocacy projects come from our personal experiences with the cause. Housing Discrimination is based on several factors and we have specific insights that can change the way that we approach key issues such as affordable housing for low-income buyers and renters and emergency housing and shelters for people that can be received on the day of their displacement. Homelessness should not be an option for anyone and unacceptable by everyone.

In December 2020, we, founders Rebecca and Natalia Evans started developing the initial mission of our organization that was influenced by our shared and distinct life experiences.
In a state of trauma and turmoil, we left New Jersey in 2022 and sought refuge in Sussex County Delaware to rebuild and invest in a life worth living for and the chance to find a community that not only we could embrace, but embraced us, our children, and our service dogs too.
We, therefore, founded Diamond State of Mind, LLC (DSM) in Rehoboth Beach on October 11, 2023 to reach our community, share our journey, and provide solutions to overcome social and cultural injustices through intentional acts of Artistry, the writing of Policy and Bills, and Consultancy.
We have been called into this space and feel freedom whenever we take a stand against our oppressors.
This is no easy task. We were also working through the trauma created by years of systemic mental and verbal abuse.
Advocating for our Constitutional and Human Rights involved great sacrifice and exposure to retaliation. We had to live off and on the radar as we documented our trauma so that any accusations of defamation or libel and slander could be properly defended in a court of law.
"People are suffering and we knew we had to do more to help others and ourselves who experience the constant separation from our constitutional and human rights. Only through art will people be able to embrace the change our communities needs"
Bias slows progress, causes conflicts and wars, and prohibits positive change. Everyone needs to do better, think better, and be better.
Diamond State of Mind, LLC (DSM) is an organization formed by artists and activists. We seek a mobile exhibition space and creative artistic spaces for artists of all kinds from the communities that fit how we identify, which includes membership in federally-protected classifications.
Our Mission is to write effective and precise policy stemming from Bills that if passed will create immediate and positive change. We communicate our advocacy efforts through artistic mediums and grassroots marketing and public relations efforts to further our vision. We offer anti-bias training and consultation through our service dogs and our trademark (pending) strategies which incorporate artistic processes.
We strive to create and implement immediate socioeconomic, justice, and cultural change through strategic and creative communication and collaboration.
Our commitment to activism and artistry is done in the pursuit of justice and equality for all as our core guiding principle.
All minds are invaluable resources that can be strengthened and refined to do, feel, and think better. This is the DSM mission and we are excited to collaborate and learn from our shared stories of injustice.

We will expose diverse artists to the larger Delaware arts community, and collaborate with them to feature their artistry in the context of socio-economic and cultural equality awareness and education, and neuro-science based practices that promote anti-bias.
Diamond State of Mind (DSM) will facilitate change through the process of creating social advocacy projects, campaigns and demonstrations. Our artistic perspectives, are infused by our life experiences with bias and injustice and as members of several federally-protected classifications of citizens.
Diamond State of Mind, LLC (DSM) is a for-profit business created to benefit the community and country. Our primary financial focus is to create
transparency for our artists, clients, non-profit organizations, donors, and sponsors.
Our Artists are our partners and through our arts exhibition platform will fully retain all profit and rights to their artwork. Our artists, who are part of the underrepresented and underserved communities, will receive arts supplies, work space, access to our exhibition transportation vehicle ,and professional development and support services at no cost. We will also create opportunities for artists to work with us as paid independent consultants for our DSM projects.
We take the time to get to know each artist and want to share your artistic perspectives with our community, and provide you with exposure to Delaware’s artistic community. We encourage our artists to align with our
company’s mission and vision.

Our Clients are our partners who understand that bias impacts their profitability and success as a company, organization, or institution. Whether you have employees, students, or volunteers, you want people to feel included and valued. If you are a leader, or decision maker in your community, then you have the responsibility to spearhead diversity, inclusion, and equity efforts. This is a critical requirement for individuals who want to participate in
our country’s economic marketplace and
are serious about economic growth.
We will provide consultation and create a strategic plan that can be strategically implemented through
creative training techniques, based
upon DSM’s Diamond Model.

Our Non-Profit (NP) and Not-for-Profit (NFP) Organizations are our partners who receive specific funding to benefit their communities. NPs and NFPs typically have guidelines on how grant money must be spent and this often includes community outreach and diversification requirements. We will spend time with our NPs and NFPs to understand its funding nuances and resources and develop a plan on how to implement and reach your organizational goals. DSM understands that your success relies upon the contributions of your volunteers and we consider this within the services we provide and service fees.

Our Donors and Sponsors are our partners who provide essential funding assistance for our operational needs that are not covered through grant funding. Donors are needed for assistance in funding our various social and cultural advocacy projects, which involve artistic demonstrations, and demonstration-related costs, such as permit acquisition and fees for amplification systems, transportation-related costs, “arts bus” maintenance and redesign, and for large-scale advertisements.
Sponsors are needed for special events that will be held in various locations in Sussex County,
Delaware to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as our CHANGE initiatives.
As Diamond State of Mind expands our wings, we want to keep our financial transparency front and center. This is necessary for understanding our business operations and "Diamond Papers." We are in control of our narrative and this includes communicating with our supporters about our financial past, present, and future.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
